The US Federal Regulations require financial institutions like NALA to obtain the social Security Number (SSN)* Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) of users in order to confirm their identity.

Your Social Security Number and Individual Taxpayer Identification Number are stored and encrypted in a dedicated high security database and is never shared with anyone after your identity is verified. It can't be retrieved by NALA employees except to comply with your US Federal regulations.

*Please note that sharing your SSN will not impact your credit score
