How to enable contacts on NALA.
Updated over 3 months ago

Why do we recommend enabling contacts?

We strongly recommend enabling contacts to enhance your experience and minimise the risk of errors when sending money. Enabling this feature reduces the chance of manual typing errors, preventing accidental transfers to the wrong number.

Does "Enabling contacts" mean NALA uploads all of my contacts?

No. NALA takes your privacy very seriously. Enabling contacts does not mean that your entire contact list is uploaded or shared. Instead, all of your contact information remains securely stored on your device.

When you enable contacts, we use a privacy-first approach: only a small, anonymised piece of each contact is securely sent to our servers. This way, your actual contact details are never exposed. Our system uses this anonymised data to help you connect with people you know, all while ensuring your privacy is fully protected.

Rest assured, your contact list stays private and secure, and our process is designed to safeguard your data at every step.
