In most cases, you only need to verify your NALA account once. 😁
However, there are certain situations where we may ask you to re-verify your identity to keep your account secure and compliant with financial regulations.
🧾 You may be asked to re-verify if:
Your verification document has expired
If your ID, passport, or residence permit expires, we’ll need you to upload a new valid one.
You change your personal details
For example, if your legal name, address, or nationality changes.
Your previous verification was incomplete or unclear
If the document quality was low or key information was missing.
Regulatory requirements change
NALA is a regulated service, and from time to time, we may be required by law to re-verify certain users to stay compliant.
⚙️ How to re-verify your account
Open the NALA app.
You will see a banner on the app asking you to Complete Verification.
Follow the steps to upload your new ID or complete any verification checks as requested.
You’ll receive a confirmation once your re-verification is approved.
🕓 How long does re-verification take?
Re-verification is usually completed within a few minutes, but it can take up between 24-72 hours if manual review is needed.
You’ll be notified in-app as soon as the process is done.
💡 Tips for smooth re-verification
Use a valid and original document (no screenshots or photocopies).
Ensure your selfie or document photo are clear.
🔒 Why re-verification matters
Re-verification helps NALA:
Keep your account secure.
Comply with anti-fraud and anti-money laundering regulations.
Ensure smooth, uninterrupted access to transfers and wallet services.
