NALA Transaction Limits

💡 Learn how transaction limits work on NALA, how they’re set, when they reset, and what to do if you need higher limits.

Updated this week

⚙️ What are NALA transaction limits?

NALA sets daily and monthly transaction limits to help keep your money safe and ensure compliance with international financial regulations.

Your transaction limit is the maximum amount of money you can send (or receive) using your NALA account within a specific time frame (usually daily or monthly).

Limits depend on:

  • Your country of registration (e.g., UK, EU, or US).

  • Your account verification level (e.g., ID-verified vs. basic).

  • The destination country of your transfer.

🔹 Example:

If you’re sending from the UK to Kenya, your total monthly limit may differ from someone sending from the EU to Tanzania.

You can always check your specific limits in-app.

📱 How to check your NALA transaction limits

  1. Open the NALA app.

  2. Tap your Profile icon.

  3. Go to Account Limits.

  4. You’ll see a detailed breakdown of your:

    • Daily send limit

    • Monthly send limit

    • Remaining available balance

This page updates automatically after every transaction.

🔁 How do NALA transaction limits reset?

Your limits reset automatically every 30 days (or at the start of each new billing cycle), depending on your region.

  • Daily limits reset on a rolling basis.

  • Monthly limits reset every 30 days from your first transaction date — not necessarily the first day of the calendar month.

If your limit doesn’t seem to have reset, check:

  • That you’re using the latest version of the NALA app.

  • Whether you’ve reached your new billing cycle date.

📈 How to increase your transaction limits

If you need to send higher amounts, you can request a limit increase by completing a higher level of verification within the app.

Here’s how:

  1. Open the NALA app.

  2. Tap your Profile icon.

  3. Select Account Limits.

  4. At the bottom of the page, click ‘Increase Limits

  5. Fill in the form and provide necessary supporting documents.

Once verified, your new limits will automatically apply, and you’ll receive confirmation via email or chat.

🧩 Why we set transaction limits

Transaction limits help NALA:

  • Prevent fraud and financial crime.

  • Meet financial compliance requirements.

  • Ensure safe and transparent transfers for all users.

NALA constantly reviews and updates limits to align with regulatory guidance and user needs.

🛠️ Troubleshooting common limit issues

Q: My transaction failed even though I haven’t hit my limit — why?

A: It’s possible that one of your daily or per-country limits has been reached, even if your overall monthly cap isn’t. Check your limit page for details.

Q: My limit didn’t reset automatically — what should I do?

A: Try logging out and back in. If your reset date has passed and the issue persists, contact NALA Support for help.
