Why do we recommend you enable contacts?
Most of the people you send money to are often contacts stored in your phone. We highly recommend you enable contacts to reduce the chance of error when you type manually which could lead to you accidentally sending money to the wrong number. ๐Ÿค’ To help you, we recommend you enable contacts.

Does "Enabling Contacts" mean NALA uploads all of my contacts?
No, NALA does not upload any of your contacts. They are stored locally on your device.

How to enable contacts on Android:

  1. On your phone, open the Settings app.

  2. Tap Apps & notifications.

  3. Tap NALA. If you can't find it, first tap See all apps or App info.

  4. Tap Permissions.

  5. Click on Contacts and change to Allow.

  6. Done ๐Ÿฅ‚ you can return to the NALA app to transact faster and with higher accuracy. All your mobile money contacts should be loaded.

How to enable contacts on iOS:

  1. Open your iPhone Settings

  2. Find Nala

  3. Turn on Contacts

  4. Done ๐Ÿฅ‚ you can return to the NALA app to transact faster and with higher accuracy. All your mobile money contacts should be loaded.
