Global Accounts - Virtual Accounts

Your US Virtual Account gives you US banking details to receive USD payments directly into your NALA Global Account.

What is my US Virtual Account?

Your NALA Global Account now comes with US account details, including a US account number and routing number issued through our US banking partner, Lead Bank.

These details allow you to receive USD payments through supported US payment networks, while keeping everything within your existing NALA Global Account.

The US Virtual Account is not a separate NALA account. It is a feature of your Global Account that gives you US banking details so you can receive USD payments directly into your NALA balance.

Why do I have a US Virtual Account?

Your US account details make it easier to receive USD payments from people and businesses that pay through US banking networks. You can share your US account and routing number with:

  • Employers

  • Freelance clients

  • Businesses

  • Online platforms

  • Family and friends in the US

The money is credited directly to your existing NALA Global Account.

Is my US Virtual Account a separate bank account?

No. Your US account details are part of your NALA Global Account and are linked to your Global Account information. You do not need to open or manage a separate US bank account, and you do not have a separate USD balance outside NALA.

Your money remains in your NALA Global Account.

Who provides my US account details?

Your US account details are issued through Lead Bank, our US banking partner. The account and routing number allow you to receive payments through supported US payment networks.

Do I need to open or apply for a US Virtual Account?

No. If you're eligible, your US account details will be assigned to your existing NALA Global Account. There is no separate account to open.

Once your details are available, you can find them in your Global Account in the NALA app.

What payments can I receive?

You can use your US account details to receive supported USD payments through:

  • ACH payments

  • Fedwire transfers

FedNow payments are coming soon and are not currently available.

Can someone outside the US send money to my US account?

Your US account details are designed primarily for payments through US banking networks, but you may also receive payments from outside the US.

Most payments from a non-US account arrive within 1 working day, although some international payments may take 3–5 working days depending on the payment method, sending bank, intermediary banks, weekends, holidays, and any required security or compliance checks.

International payments may also involve additional fees or currency conversion. The sender should check with their bank to confirm that the payment method they intend to use is supported and whether any fees or conversion charges apply.

Can I receive money in a currency other than USD?

No. Your US account details are for receiving USD payments. If a sender is paying you from an account in another currency, their bank may need to convert the payment to USD before sending it.

Where can I find my US account details?

Open your NALA Global Account in the app to view your US account details. You will be able to see the information you need to share with someone who wants to pay you, including your:

  • Account number

  • Routing number

  • Account holder information

Always use the exact details shown in your NALA app when setting up a payment.

What information should I give someone who wants to pay me?

Give the sender the US account details shown in your NALA app. Depending on the payment method, the sender may also need your account holder name and other banking information.

Make sure they use the details exactly as they appear in your NALA app.

Can I use the same US account details more than once?

Yes. You can use your US account details to receive multiple payments. You can share the same account and routing number with different employers, clients, businesses, or other people who need to pay you.

Is it safe to share my account and routing number?

Yes. Your account and routing number are designed to be shared with people or businesses who need them to send you money. However, never share your NALA password, PIN, OTP, or other security credentials with anyone.

Where does the money go when someone pays me?

Money received through your US account details is credited to your NALA Global Account USD balance. The US account details do not have a separate balance. They provide a way for money to reach your existing NALA Global Account.

How long does it take for my payment to arrive?

The time depends on the payment method used by the sender.

Payments from the US

  • ACH: Usually 4–24 hours, but may take up to 72 hours. ACH is the standard option for US payroll and payments from platforms. ACH payments do not process on weekends or US federal holidays.

  • Wire: Usually arrives the same business day if sent before the applicable afternoon cut-off time.

  • FedNow: Usually arrives within seconds and is available any day. FedNow is the fastest option, but adoption is still growing, so most senders currently use ACH.

International payments

Most payments sent from a non-US account arrive within 1 working day. In some cases, they may take 3–5 working days, depending on the payment method, sending bank, intermediary banks, weekends, holidays, and any required security or compliance checks.

Once a payment has been received and any required checks have been completed, it will be credited to your NALA Global Account.

Will I know when my payment arrives?

Yes. Once the payment is received and credited to your NALA Global Account, you will be able to see it in your NALA transaction history.

Are there any fees for receiving money?

An inbound wire fee of $6 applies to incoming wire payments. ACH receiving fees and any other applicable charges depend on the payment method. Please check the applicable fees shown by NALA before receiving a payment.

Can I use my US account to send money?

The US account details are currently for receiving money. You cannot use the US account details themselves to make outgoing payments.

You can continue to use your NALA Global Account to send money using the sending options available to you in NALA.

Can I use my US account details to receive my salary?

Yes, if your employer supports paying you through a US bank account and the payment method they use is supported by your US account details.

You can also use your details to receive payments from clients, businesses, platforms, and other eligible senders.

Can someone send money to my US account on my behalf?

No. Your US account details are linked to your NALA Global Account and your identity.

You should only receive payments intended for you. Do not allow another person to use your US account details to receive money on their behalf.

Why hasn't my payment arrived?

First, check that the sender used the correct:

  • Account number

  • Routing number

  • Account holder information

  • Payment method

  • Currency

Also confirm with the sender that the money has actually left their account.

If the payment still hasn't arrived, contact NALA Support and provide:

  • The amount sent

  • Date the payment was sent

  • Sender's name

  • Sender's bank

  • Payment method used

  • Payment reference, if available

This will help us investigate the payment.

Why might my payment be held?

Incoming payments may be subject to security and compliance checks. Most payments should be processed normally, but some payments may require additional review. If we need more information about a payment, we may contact you.

What happens if I receive money I don't recognise?

Do not spend or transfer the money. Contact NALA Support and let us know that you received an unexpected payment. We will help you understand what happened and what you should do next.

Can a payment be reversed?

Yes. Some payments may be reversed or returned by the sender's bank or payment network.

If a payment is reversed after it has been credited to your NALA Global Account, the corresponding amount may be removed from your balance.

If you receive money unexpectedly or believe a payment may have been sent by mistake, do not spend it. Contact NALA Support first.

What happens if someone sends me the wrong amount?

Contact NALA Support rather than attempting to return the money yourself. A payment may potentially be reversed by the sender's bank, so sending the money back independently could create additional complications.

What happens if I don't have US account details?

US account details are being made available to eligible Global Account users in supported markets.

If you do not see US account details in your Global Account, you may not yet be eligible or the feature may not yet be available for your account.

If you believe you should have access but cannot see your details, contact NALA Support.

Can I close my US Virtual Account?

The US account details are part of your NALA Global Account, so they are not managed as a separate NALA wallet or account. If you need help with your US account details or want to stop using them, contact NALA Support.

What should I never share with someone paying me?

Only share the payment information they need to send you money, such as the account and routing number shown in your NALA app.

Never share:

  • Your NALA password

  • Your PIN

  • Your OTP or verification code

  • Your login credentials

NALA Support will never ask you to share your password or OTP.
