Fees on transfers to Cameroon

A small flat fee for transfers to Cameroon 🇨🇲

Why is NALA introducing this fee?

Sending money to Cameroon involves costs from our local payout and payment partners. Introducing a small, flat fee on these transfers lets us cover those costs while continuing to offer competitive exchange rates and invest in a better service — faster, more reliable transfers you can count on.

How much is the fee?

It's a single flat fee per transfer, based on the currency you send in:

  • EUR: €1.29 per transfer

  • USD: $0.99 per transfer

  • GBP: £0.99 per transfer

The fee is the same no matter how much you send.

Does the fee change with the amount I send?

No. It's a flat fee — the same amount per transfer, regardless of how much you send. For example, sending €50 to Cameroon costs a €1.29 fee, and sending €500 costs the same €1.29 — it doesn't increase with the amount.

I send in EUR — what's changed for me?

If you send to Cameroon in euros, this flat fee replaces the previous small-transfer fee. Instead of separate small-transfer charges, you'll now pay one simple, predictable fee on each transfer.

When does this start?

The fee applies to transfers to Cameroon made from June 4th, 2026.

Will I know about the fee before I send?

Yes. You'll always see the exact fee upfront before you confirm your transfer. It's also shown:

  • on your quote,

  • in your transaction summary, and

  • on your receipt.

So there are never any surprises.

Do I still get a good exchange rate?

Yes. This change is specifically so we can keep offering competitive rates and keep improving the service. The fee covers partner and payment costs — it doesn't come out of your exchange rate.

Does this affect transfers to other countries?

No. This fee applies only to transfers where the receive country is Cameroon. Transfers to other countries aren't affected.
