We’re updating how small transfers work on NALA to give you more flexibility while keeping our service sustainable.
Why is NALA making this change?
Processing very small transfers costs us more than they generate because of bank payout partner fees. By introducing a small fee for additional low-value transfers, we can cover these costs and keep NALA strong. This allows us to continue improving FX rates, transfers and the overall service you rely on.
How does it work?
You can now send as little as €1 — the minimum send limit has been removed.
Transfers over €20: No changes, same reliable service.
Transfers under €20: You’ll get 3 free small transfers each calendar month. After that, a €0.96 fee will apply for each additional transfer under €20.*
What’s the benefit for me?
Flexibility to send as little as €1.
3 free small transfers every calendar month.
Better FX rates in the long run as we reinvest into your experience.
Smoother, faster transfers and an improved all-round service.
Will I know about the fee before I send?
Yes. You’ll always see the exact fee upfront before confirming your transfer, so there are no surprises.
When does this start?
Fees will come into effect on October 1st 2025. The threshold resets every calendar month.
For example, if you send €15 every week, the first 3 transfers of the month would be free, in the 4th week, a fee of €0.96 would be added to the transfer. Then, the next month, the threshold will be reset.
